Whether you want to eat all the meat at Smoke, Mediterranean at Ego, vegan at Make No Bones or everything you could possibly think of at Cosmo, Sheffield has somewhere for all palates and budgets.<\/p>\n

Head over to West Street, where you can find bars such as Bloo 88, The Cavendish, Bierkeller, OMG and West Street Live, offering live music seven nights a week.<\/p>\n
Just around the corner you\u2019ll find Division Street. Home to quirky bars such as Bungalows and Bears, The Great Gatsby and Frog and Parrot; popular for their beers and impressive spirit collections.<\/p>\n
Kelham Island is the up and coming area of Sheffield. It’s popular with an alternative crowd seeking real ale, good food and great company.<\/p>\n
If you fancy dancing late into the night \u2013 or the early hours of the morning, there are plenty of nightclubs open in the city centre, with some venues offering extended opening hours until 6am.<\/p>\n
And getting around Sheffield city is easy too; it’s well connected with public transport. With the Supertram, central train station and bus connections covering Sheffield; all with regular timings. You can also get a taxi on demand with the Uber and City Taxis apps. For the shorter journeys, grab one of the Ofo bikes currently scattered around the city centre.<\/p>\n

If you enjoy keeping active \u2013 or just like watching others, Sheffield has a whole host of sports on offer. There’s swimming, ice skating, bouldering, many gyms, tennis courts, pitches and not forgetting the Sheffield Varsity between the city\u2019s two universities. The Crucible Theatre is also home to the World Snooker Championship.<\/p>\n
When it\u2019s time to rest, take a stroll through the beautiful city or sit back and relax in one of the many parks. Around a third of the city is inside the Peak District National Park. Meaning there’s plenty of parks to choose from so you\u2019ll never struggle to find a green space. Endcliffe Park, Norfolk Park, the Botanical Gardens, the Peace Gardens, Weston Park and the amphitheatre are popular hotspots for students and locals.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll also find various events and festivals taking place in the open spaces throughout the year. There’s the Tramlines festival which this year is being held at Hillsborough Park. The festival offers a city-wide music experience with the immediate area and bars in the city centre participating in the event.<\/p>\n

The fun doesn\u2019t stop there though. Valley Centertainment is a short journey on the tram from the city centre. Here you\u2019ll find a large Cineworld complex, as well as bowling, laser tag, adventure golf and plenty of food outlets. Stay on the tram for Meadowhall, a large indoor shopping centre with over 280 shops, holding discounted student lock-in events with famous faces and freebies.<\/p>\n
Wow. That\u2019s just some of the fantastic things Sheffield has to offer. It\u2019s easy to see why people fall in love with the city. It boasts character and culture whilst being both vibrant and idyllic. With its incredible music history, energetic streets and attractive aesthetics, you\u2019ll soon be calling Sheffield your home.<\/p>\n
