Yep we get that. Weekends just aren\u2019t the same without a little bop and a jive, are they? But don\u2019t forget, dancing isn\u2019t just reserved for a night out; it\u2019s a great form of exercise too!<\/p>\n<h3>Why is dancing good for you?<\/h3>\n<p>Dancing is a whole-body workout that is sure to get your heart pumping. It combines both cardio exercises and strength, balance and flexibility exercises.<\/p>\n<p>The cardio aspect of dance can be achieved through movements such as jumping, swaying and twirling. Whilst the other elements can be achieved through holding positions, lifting your own body and balancing for example.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t think you can dance? Wrong. One of the greatest things about dancing is most people can participate. Whether it\u2019s a full-on dance routine, a little jig on the spot, or a simple sway of the hips or arms \u2013 we can all dance to the beat in some way or another.<\/p>\n<p>So, to get you started, below are a few different forms of dance to try; everything from hip-hop dance to belly dancing.<\/p>\n<h4>1.\u00a0Cardio Latin Dance Workout<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8DZktowZo_k\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>2.\u00a0Hip-Hop Fit Workout<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZWk19OVon2k\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>3. La Bomba Dance<\/h4>\n<p>Raise the roof\u00a0(and your energy levels) with this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/nhs-fitness-studio\/dance-la-bomba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Bomba dance\u00a0workout<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It features a combination of dance moves set to Latin American dance music, hip hop, Afrobeats and R&amp;B. Hopefully you&#8217;ll be having so much fun you won&#8217;t even notice how hard you&#8217;re working.<\/p>\n<h4>4.\u00a0Belly Dancing for Beginners<\/h4>\n<p>Are you ready to get those hips shaking? Belly dancing is a fun way to get fit, so give it a whirl with\u00a0this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/nhs-fitness-studio\/belly-dancing-for-beginners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">belly dancing exercise<\/a> video for beginners.<\/p>\n<p>And if the above dance workouts weren\u2019t enough, you could even organise a virtual dance-off with your mates.
