If you\u2019ve applied to university and have a good idea where you\u2019ll be studying later this year, now is the perfect time to start your accommodation search and secure your student room.<\/p>\n

You might think it\u2019s too early, and you\u2019d rather wait until after Results Day. However, the sooner you book, the more likely you are to get your preferred room type and accommodation building; rather than being left with a lack of choice and having to settle for second best.<\/p>\n

But more than that, book today to tick accommodation off your to-do list so you can enjoy a stress-free summer without any last-minute panics. And at Host, we make securing your room effortless.<\/p>\n

\n

1. Find your room<\/h3>\n

If you know which university or college you\u2019ll be studying at, search the Host website<\/a> to view the accommodation available in that town or city. In some locations, we may have more than one property to choose from so have a look at what each property has to offer and weigh up your options.<\/p>\n

Things to consider when choosing your accommodation include the location of the property, the property\u2019s facilities, the room types available to book and also the contract lengths available.<\/p>\n

2. Submit your application<\/h3>\n

All bookings at Host are made online so securing your room couldn\u2019t be easier; you can do it all with just a few clicks of your mouse and from the comfort of your sofa.<\/p>\n

So, when you\u2019ve found the room that\u2019s right for you, it\u2019s time to book.<\/p>\n

As part of the application process, you\u2019ll need to register and create an account with Host. Your account will hold all information relating to your application and booking. You\u2019ll need to complete all stages of the application process in order for your booking to be confirmed; this includes signing the contracts, providing any guarantor information and paying your initial rent payment.<\/p>\n

3. Make your payment<\/h3>\n

\"Standard<\/p>\n

As noted above, an initial rental payment is required as part of your application to secure your room and confirm your booking. This isn\u2019t a deposit, and the initial rent payment amount (e.g., \u00a3100), is taken off the total rent amount due.<\/p>\n

To provide you with flexibility when paying for your student accommodation, we offer a choice of payment options; all of which can be made via your online account. You can choose to either pay in full upon booking, pay in three or four instalments over the year, or opt for a monthly payment plan.<\/p>\n

4. Move in<\/h3>\n

\"Find<\/p>\n

When you\u2019ve booked your room and all your payments are up to date, you\u2019ve just got to sit back and wait for move in day!<\/p>\n

As your move in date approaches, you\u2019ll receive a series of emails from your accommodation with more information about moving in and living with Host.\u00a0To help make your arrival at Host seamless, you\u2019ll need to complete an online induction via your Host account prior to arriving at your accommodation; all of which will be communicated with you closer to the move in date.<\/p>\n
