You may be feeling many emotions right about now. But that is normal and you are not alone.<\/p>\n<p>Find out how results day goes so you can prepare yourself before the day.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>How will I find out if I\u2019ve got my place at uni?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From 8am you will be able to log on to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucas.com\/undergraduate\/after-you-apply\/track-your-ucas-application\">UCAS Track<\/a> and find out if you\u2019ve been accepted to your university of choice. Be patient as the system may be very busy around this time.\u00a0 Thousands of students from around the UK try to login to see their results.<\/p>\n<p>Before Results Day, it would be beneficial check with your school\/college that your results are being sent direct to UCAS, if not, you\u2019ll need to send them directly to your university on results day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15014\" src=\"https:\/\/host-students.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2-1.png\" alt=\"Results Day Students get results\" width=\"1440\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You need to remember that UCAS Track doesn\u2019t show your exact results. But will only show your university application status. The university will receive your results a few days before and update your offer, but you won\u2019t see that until Track is updated on the 15<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Track is &#8216;frozen&#8217; in the days leading up to A-level results day. This means you won&#8217;t be able to make any changes to your application during this time. If you need to make any changes you will need to contact UCAS directly.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>What time will A Level results go live?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At 8am and not a minute before, Track will go live and will show the decisions made by your chosen university. It\u2019s a good idea to have your Track log in details ready, (you don\u2019t want to be searching the house for those come 8am!), and when you log in check that your contact details are correct. When you move through Track, you\u2019ll see your choice(s) have been updated. And in simple terms will show as:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unconditional &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Your place at the university and on the course has been confirmed. This may be your firm or insurance offer, or both.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unconditional Changed Course &#8211; <\/strong>This means that you don&#8217;t have the necessary grades for your offer, but the university has proposed a similar course requiring lower grades.<\/p>\n<p>The university may also offer an alternative start date, such as deferred entry. In general, you have five days to decide if you want to accept this offer. This allows you to discuss the opportunity with the university.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15016\" src=\"https:\/\/host-students.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/4.png\" alt=\"2020 A Level Results Day 8am\" width=\"1440\" height=\"550\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unsuccessful &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>This means that unfortunately you haven\u2019t been accepted by your choice(s). However, this means that you&#8217;re now eligible to enter university through Clearing.<\/p>\n<p>In the first two examples, congratulations, you\u2019ve secured a place at your chosen university! If you\u2019re entering Clearing don\u2019t worry, thousands do it every year and in some cases, students even choose to enter university through the Clearing process.
